== Lamy 2000 == '''Brad Dowdy:''' Yep, yep. So not all of them fit like a glove. But I put in the β what did I use last night? The Hitec Sea Cavalier refill. It fits really great in it. So I just got my black one last night. These guys β Kickstarter is kind of getting a little bit of a bad reputation. Just everyone is kind of getting thrown in the same bucket that people aren't shipping on time. And people are running into issues. But these guys, Joe and Chadwick, really β they ran into one issue. They kept everyone in the loop. And they've actually shipped out thousands of these pins in a really timely fashion. So I appreciate them getting these out the door. And I got the black β the black matte one. And I'm pretty happy with it so far. I'll spend some more time with it and probably do another review of the proper production model that I paid for at Kickstarter. But so far, so good. '''Brad Dowdy:''' One thing that they did β and gosh, I don't have a picture of it. And they might have it in one of their links. They did a killer job with the packaging, which out of all the Kickstarter projects I've done, it's been pretty simple, basic packaging. Kind of do-what-you-need-to-do packaging to get it done. But they did a really nice job, and they're actually setting these up, you can tell by the packaging, for a retail push. It's that well done to where it can just hang on a store shelf or something like that and be sold at retail. So I just wanted to let everyone know that those have shipped. Mine has arrived. And some of the people I follow on Twitter and that follow me back said theirs have come in too. So that was a good bit to see arrive in the mail. '''Myke Hurley:''' So are we going to get a review? Huh? Are we going to get a review? '''Brad Dowdy:''' Oh, yes, definitely. I'll do a follow-up review. I did a pretty thorough review of the prototype, but I'll do another review because I want to try some more different refills. '''Brad Dowdy:''' What I was going to say, speaking of mail, have you got any mail yet recently? '''Myke Hurley:''' Not from you, unfortunately. '''Brad Dowdy:''' No, no mail. All right. '''Myke Hurley:''' I'm sure it's on the way. We'll see. I did have a couple of things come from JetPens. Just a couple of the Pentel Tridio pens. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Yeah, the disposable ones that you like or the refillable ones? '''Myke Hurley:''' I think they're kind of all disposable, the ones that I've been getting. But I've got one of the other sort of the felt-type fountain pen nib ones. I got one of those in blue. And I also got one of their standard gel ink pens. The gel ink's fine. It's just like, to me, really, any gel ink pen. I've yet to really find one that I think is exceptional in any way. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Yeah, I think that's pretty much an inner gel refill, Pentel inner gel refill. '''Myke Hurley:''' It is the Pentel inner gel refill. Yeah, you're correct. But I like the way that the pen is actually made. I like the look of it. But, I mean, the blue that they use is a great blue. It's a really nice blue color. So I'm still really happy with those. So that's just a little bit of follow-up because I did say I was going to order a couple more. And I have done. And I'm really happy with it. I mean, they're kind of like you can buy like $26 ones. But I just buy the disposable one because I like the little felt tip slash fountain pen sort of combo that they've got going on. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Right. I go back and forth with trying to be responsible in maybe buying a more expensive barrel and buying refills or buying the same pen in the disposable version. Nine times out of ten, I'm going for the disposable version. '''Myke Hurley:''' Because the refill is $4 and the disposable is $9.50. So I'm like, I just might as well just get the disposable. I don't really consider the bodies that I'm buying like $9 to be worth getting a refill for. Right. Like the more expensive ones are actual fountain pens. So they require cartridges. But I guess you could also screw in the felt tip refill. Yes. Yeah. And those are expensive, like you say. But to me, I don't really see the point in doing that. Because the expensive barrels, they're just made out of different materials. They look exactly the same. Right. So I'll put a link in the show notes to the page on JetPens for them so you can see them yourself. And you can see that people can see the differences. But I'm very happy with it, actually. I have been going back to the retro a little bit more, though. So, I mean, I was using this exclusively, but now I've been sort of flip-flopping between them again, which I kind of expected to happen, because I really enjoyed using the Tridio. But I figured that I wouldn't be able to stay away from the retro. But I'm very excited to see what you sent me. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Yeah. I'm excited for you, too. '''Myke Hurley:''' I'm concerned that it's going to get caught up in the Christmas mailing problems now, though.
